Meals Direct

   Meals Direct provides short term home delivered meals beginning within 24 hours of your call. If you or a loved one is in crisis due to hospital discharge, sudden illness, caregiver loss, or rapid decline, our team acts immediately. We deliver nutritious, medically appropriate meals directly to the home while long term services are being arranged.

​   During this temporary period, staff conduct wellness checks at each delivery, observe safety concerns, and maintain communication with caregivers and referral sources. We work directly with Montgomery County care managers and insurance providers to move the eligibility and enrollment process forward and ensure a smooth transition to ongoing Meals on Wheels services.

Meals Direct operates before formal approval is completed. Because these meals are provided during the qualification period, they are not reimbursed by County or insurance programs. The program is sustained through community support so urgent needs are addressed without delay.
