Instructor: Ann Ransford 6 Weeks Course Dates: June 4, 11, 18, 25 July, 9, & 16 Time: 9:30AM-12:00PM Cost: $255 members $270 nonmembers Location of Class: ACAA, 45 Forest Ave., Ambler, PA In this 6-week class Ann will teach you how to throw clay on the potter’s wheel. With patience and guidance, you’ll learn how to center your clay on the wheel and make bowls and cylinders. With that knowledge, you can expand into making a variety of pieces. You’ll learn about trimming and finishing your work, as well as applying glazes to make beautiful pieces. This will be a small class with individual attention for each student. This class is for the beginner potter, but additional projects will be demonstrated for advanced students. There will be an additional $25.00 clay and glaze fee paid to the instructor at the beginning of class. About the Instructor Ann Ransford is a graduate of Moore College of Art with a BS in Art Education and a BFA in Sculptural Design. She has taught in the Los Angeles School System, K through 12th grade, as well as teaching privately in her home studio. Ann has been a potter her entire life and is a local Ambler artist who creates stained glass pieces, watercolors and enjoys oil painting, specializing in pet portraits. Refund Policy Sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances a class must be cancelled. When that happens, we will be happy to credit you for another class or a different session throughout the year. This credit will be good for one (1) year and can be used for any class that has availability and space. If you cancel your class after registering and reserving a space, you will receive a credit good for one (1) year that can be applied to a future class.
