LGBTQ+ elders are disproportionately affected by rising home costs and economic insecurity. The disparity is even greater if they are a person of color, transgender, or non-binary. We hope that Governor Hochul's commitment to LGBTQ+ elder housing, will set the stage for a nationwide overhaul and examination of the support that is greatly needed for this community.
