Instructor: Steve Hunter 8 Weeks Course Dates: Thursday, March 26, April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, May 7, 14 Time: 9:30AM - 12:00PM Cost: $340 members $355 nonmembers Location of Class: ACAA, 45 Forest Ave., Ambler, PA Class description Students will develop and strengthen the fundamental skills of throwing pottery on the potter’s wheel. From novice to advanced levels, students are coached toward their next stage of development by building new skills and refining existing ones. Assigned projects are designed to showcase these skills. In addition to wheel throwing, instruction will cover handles, lids, trimming, overall form, and basic glazing techniques. There will be an additional $25.00 clay and glaze fee paid to the instructor at the beginning of class. About the Instructor: Steve Hunter has been a working potter and teacher since 1976. A former art teacher at Wissahickon High School, he is a juried member of the Reading-Berks Guild of Craftsmen. Working in traditional styles, Steve produces a line of functional stoneware in his studio in West Point, Pennsylvania. His work is sold through studio sales and regional craft fairs.
