Service Description

Instructor: Ann Ransford Day: Wednesday 9:30AM-12:00PM Class Dates: 8 weeks, Sept 13, 20, 27, Oct 4, 11, 18, 25, Nov 1 Cost: $320 members $335 nonmembers (Includes all supplies and lab fees) Location of Class: ACAA, 45 Forest Ave., Ambler, PA Have you always wanted to learn how to throw clay on the potter’s wheel? In this class, you’ll learn about different clay bodies, how to center your clay on the wheel and make bowls and cylinders. With that knowledge, you can expand into making a variety of pieces. You will learn about trimming and finishing your work. We will learn about glazes and firing, as well. This will be a small class with individual attention for each student. This class is for beginner potters. All basic materials are included. About the Instructor Ann Ransford is a graduate of Moore College of Art with a BS in Art Education and a BFA in Sculptural Design. She has taught in the Los Angeles School System, K through 12th grade, as well as teaching privately in her home studio. Ann is a local Ambler artist who creates stained glass pieces, and watercolors and enjoys oil painting, specializing in pet portraits. Refund policy Sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances a class must be cancelled. When that happens, we will be happy to credit you for another class or a different session throughout the year. This credit will be good for one (1) year and can be used for any class that has availability and space.
