One-Day Mini Rug Needle Punch Workshop

Instructor: Ann Hermes Date: Tuesday May 12, 2026, one-day Time: 12:00 PM-3:00PM Cost: $75 No Member Discount Location of Class: ACAA, 45 Forest Ave., Ambler, PA (no experience necessary) Learn the technique of needle punch with yarn and create a mini rug in this 3-hour workshop. All the materials and tools will be provided to complete a 5” x 5” rug, including lots of colorful hand-dyed wool yarn to customize your rug design. Use it as a mug rug or hang it up as wall art. This workshop is just the beginning of the beautiful textile art you can create using needle punch. Material fee to cover yarn and linen: $10.00 (paid directly to instructor) Tools will be provided to use in class. Students have the option to purchase the punch needle ($17) and no-slip hoop ($19) at the end of class if they wish to continue their needle punch journey. About the Instructor: Ann learned to sew, knit, and embroider as a child. She rediscovered her love of textile arts as an adult, designing and making miniature quilts, dozens of which were published in national quilting magazines. Most recently Ann has been designing and making decorative needle punch rugs using hand-dyed wool yarn. Ann sells her work at local shows and on Etsy (annhermes1).
