Instructor: Christina Leone Dates: Tues Sept 12, 19, 26, Oct 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 9:30AM-12PM Cost: $205 member $220 nonmember Location of Class: ACAA, 45 Forest Ave. Ambler, PA In this class we will dive into the basics of oil painting! This class is for all skill levels. We will be going into all of the supplies of oil painting and what they are used for, so if you are new to the medium do not worry! We will be using a limited color palette to simplify the process. We will be creating well thought-out compositions within still life’s and exploring loose, flowing landscapes. Our goal is to create about three paintings in this 8-week period so we do not have to rush at all; we will take our time and learn the process together. We’ll be starting the class on smaller canvases and building our way up to larger sizes as we get comfortable with our medium! BIO Christina Leone is a Montgomery County based painter who grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia in Abington, PA. In the beginning of her college years, she studied at Montgomery County Community College for the first two years and then transferred to the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts where she graduated with her BFA in painting. Her calm attitude transfers over into her painting and teaching strategies and loves working one on one with students to help them really understand new mediums and tackle any artistic questions they may have. She believes painting should be fun and fluid and nothing to stress about, it’s just paint on a canvas. When that happens, we will be happy to credit you for another class or a different session throughout the year. This credit will be good for one (1) year and can be used for any class that has availability and space.
