Instructor: Michele Lorraine 4 Weeks Course Dates: Nov. 14, 21, Dec. 11, & 18 12:30PM-3:00PM Time: 12:30PM-3:00PM Cost: $180 members $195 nonmembers Location of Class: ACAA, 45 Forest Ave., Ambler, PA This is a great class for the student that is new to clay and sculpting, as well as those returning to the art after a hiatus. Students will learn about forms, texture, surface decorating and glazing. All skill levels and abilities are welcome. New students will be taught slab and coil building techniques and returning students will be challenged with additional projects. There will be an additional $25.00 clay and glaze fee paid to the instructor at the beginning of class. About the Instructor Michele is a ceramic artist and printer based in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She has been creating since she and her childhood friend Lauren mastered mud pies under the pine trees of Woodcliffe Avenue. For multiple decades Michele trained and practiced as a Corporate Interior Designer. After becoming a mother, she taught art to students from age three through adult. During this time, she transitioned her mindset from Designer to Artist. Now she works with porcelain and stoneware fiber-clays (a.k.a. paper clay) to extricate her own artistic expressions. When that happens, we will be happy to credit you for another class or a different session throughout the year. This credit will be good for one (1) year and can be used for any class that has availability and space.
