Cold Wax and Oil Painting November

Service Description

Instructor: Theresa Heidig Rooney 4 Weeks Time: 12:30PM-3:00PM Course Dates: Tuesday, Nov. 12, 19, Dec. 3, & 10 Cost: $160 member $175 nonmember Location: ACAA 45 Forest Ave, Ambler, PA This class is an introduction to a fun and versatile painting technique using oil paint and cold wax medium. We will explore the many ways to create interesting texture, color combinations and layers using a variety of tools. This class is for painters who want to try something new or want to loosen up, or for beginners who want to paint without the formality and intimidation of traditional oil painting instruction. No experience is necessary. Each student will receive their own basic supplies to get started (a $40.00 supply fee paid directly to the instructor in the first class), access to additional supplies to experiment with, and a recommended (but not necessary) list of resources. Join us in this fun class and learn about the many ways to use cold wax and oils. BIO Theresa Heidig Rooney is a local artist. She grew up in Scranton, PA and has been in this area since her graduation from Tyler School of Art where she earned her BFA and teaching certification from Temple University. Recently, Theresa has been using cold wax medium and oil, along with fish imagery to maintain her healthy journey through life. She is an award-winning artist who exhibits her work nationally and is currently an artist in the International Cold Wax Juried Exhibition. Theresa has a studio in Penllyn where she works and lives with her husband, son, German Shepherd, and goldfish. Refund Policy Sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances a class must be cancelled. When that happens, we will be happy to credit you for another class or a different session throughout the year. This credit will be good for one (1) year and can be used for any class that has availability and space.
