Instructor: Kathy Bohn 8 Weeks Course Dates: Tuesday Jan. 14, 21, 28, Feb. 4, 11, 18, 25 & Mar. 4 Time: 12:30PM-2:30PM Cost: $195 member $210 nonmember Location of Class: ACAA, 45 Forest Ave. Ambler, PA Learn the basics of creating artwork using basic shapes. Learn the concepts of light and shadow and how it turns flat 2D shapes into 3D objects. Using graphite pencils and basic tools, you will learn how to look at the world through the eyes of an artist. This will enable you to use any medium to create beautiful artworks once you understand the basic concepts of looking at objects and how they are transformed by the light in which they are presented. You will discover how to place shapes in landscapes, still life drawings, and portraits. Supplies needed for the basic drawing class are: One 9" x 12" Strathmore Drawing Paper Series 400 pad Faber Castell 9000 Graphite (12 pencil set -2H, F, H, HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B, 7B, 8B) Kneaded erasers - 2 White plastic eraser 12" ruler Pencil sharpener 2 Sandpaper blocks 2 Art Blending Stumps One 11" x 14" Foam core board to mount paper
Cancellation Policy
Sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances a class must be cancelled. When that happens, we will be happy to credit you for another class or a different session throughout the year. This credit will be good for one (1) year and can be used for any class that has availability and space. If you cancel your class after registering and reserving a space, you will receive a credit good for one (1) year that can be applied to a future class.
