Service Description

Instructor: Pauline Braun Dates: Dates: Sept 13, 20, 27, Oct 11, 18, 25, Nov 1 9:30AM-12PM Cost: $205 member $220 nonmember Location of Class: ACAA, 45 Forest Ave. Ambler, PA Come explore your creative side with this acrylic painting class. In this class we will start with the basics and introduce color theory with acrylics. You will be challenged to create a painting using the colors on your palette. We will discuss composition, color mixing, shadows, and styles. Group discussion and techniques are encouraged, and you will enjoy this creative class setting. See the attached list for the materials you will need to bring for your first class. You will be starting with a 16 x 20 canvas. This class is for all skill levels. About the Instructor In 1980, Pauline started cutting into wood and painting cutouts. She sold her work at craft shows, and so began her art career. Pauline earned an associate degree in Fine Arts from the Montgomery County Community College and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She has taught at numerous local art centers and has won many awards in shows throughout Montgomery County. Pauline served on the board of the Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center, was Director and taught painting at Manayunk Art Center from 2006-2010, and has been teaching at ACAA since 2016. Refund policy Sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances a class must be cancelled. When that happens, we will be happy to credit you for another class or a different session throughout the year. This credit will be good for one (1) year and can be used for any class that has availability and space.
